Tony-- Thanks-- My parts are anodized Black, with some painted red accents, and are pretty darned ugly! --Look like Campag copies, but doesn't everything? -- Nelson who doesn't like non-shiny components Miller

If they are what I am thinking, these were the Excel/Rino components that Lon Haldeman sponsored, about 1983 era? I have never seen any for sale on RBM or Ebay. But, I was not all that taken by their looks much anyhow. I will have to look in early 80's Bicycling mags to recall more.

Tony Zanussi 47 degrees and a great ride today in KC

While we are on the subject of Roberts cycles-- Mine has some components on which I could use some enlightenment, as I have never seen or heard of them before. The crankset, Pedals and seat post are all made by RINO-- Any suggestions or knowledge out there?

Thanks in advance--- Nelson

On the long chance that any of you fellows (or ladies!) might be close to and hopefully on good terms with Roberts Cycle Shop & Chas. Roberts hisself....

I have had a nightmare of a time trying to purchase/obtain transfers for two old Chas Roberts frames I am trying to restore.. I have faxed multiple times and telephoned 4 times, they are always friendly, even took my charge card number at my insistence but I can't get anyone to respond to whether they will supply these or not! Neither a yay or nay.. I have progressed to the point of being thoroughly annoyed as I interpret their non-action as being a bit rude, but I dare not vent on them as I need the darn transfers and do not want to cause them to be angry at me!

Anyone have some pull in that shop? Know someone? Willing to stop in and bug them for me? I will happily bribe you with "Swag" (pop terminology for free cycling goodies!)

Thanks in advance to anyone who is willing to step up!
