Subject: [CR]Very non-fancy Hetchins Identity

I've a Hetchins in the shop at the moment and I'd be really interested to know what model it is.

The current owner has no idea so it would be good to be able to tell him. Unfortunately I don't have a digital camera so photo's are out right now but for a start give a frame description ;

Frame Number H8099 (or 6608H read the other way round !) - okay okay I don't what way round you read it ?

Size ; 23" c-t-c, yellow in colour with red lug lining (with a large red 'H' on the face of the seat stay top eyes). 1/2 chrome plated rear stays. fork tips & dropouts (Campagnolo) plated fork crown- twin-plate type, plain and very long point head tube lugs finishing with a spearpoint. The seat tube lug & BB shell are very plain (Prugnat ?) . The only 'fancy' part is on the seat tubes beside the joint with the brake bridge - where on the outside edge of the stay it has those fancy fretwork style plates - not unlike those on the millenium model. It is a peculiar looking frame and the long head tube combined with the round pencil-thin fork legs give at a very unbalanced & fragile look (not very "arty" :-)

Can anyone help ?

Best Regards
