I used a lot of Mavic stuff on my 1986 Peugeot PZ-10. Not original, as this model was actually all Campy NR/SR, but I figure someone could have bought the frameset at the time and built it up that way. I'd think a mid-80's Vitus frame would be a good choice. Greg Lemonde also used Mavic gruppos for a year or two in the Tour, but I think the frames were Bottecchias, or at least marked as such. BTW, wonder why Bottecchia is not listed in the Italian section of the CR site, considering Sarroni also rode them for a while. I hesitate to mention the last possibility, but in the late 80's or early 90's there was a special Cannondale model with a full Mavic gruppo. It had a bright yellow and black paint job and the frame was marked "Mavic", although there may have been Cannondale decals as well. Sorry for mentioning the "C Word".
