I know an old lad who has a Percy Stallard bike on a turbo trainer in his garage.

Unfortunately, I don't know much beyond the fact that they were made in Wolverhampton and one of the best known models was the Zakopane. They were certainly good bikes, though, and quite sought after.

The wheel could be a Constrictor Conloy ASP. The turbo trainer bike above has a front wheel with an ASP rim although the back one is a Conloy Standard which has a rounder profile and spoils the look of the bike but that's another matter.

I've never seen a Mansfield saddle in the flesh, so to speak, but they had quite a line-up of different racing-type saddles such as the New Ormond Sprint, Ormond Sprint, North Road Racing and 38 Racing. They were a bit lighter than the equivalent Brooks of the day.

Philips made loads of pedals but I would imagine a classic like the Stallard would have had Philite models, which were good quality, or maybe the cheaper and heavier Credalux. Both have a wee circle on each side of the cage.

Englebert tyres were Belgian-made. If you're saying they have a chevron-type tread then it will probably be the Amber model although they made lots of different ones during the 1930s and 1940s. Sounds like the original tyres as well!

I don't know anything about Holdsworth but the chainring sounds like a Durax which was very good and very expensive in its day.
