Hi Group
Here it goes, my name is John Ford. I was raised in Phoenix AZ, joined the Service to go over seas. I was stationed in Germany on the French boarder, that was a huge brake in my life, during my first inspection my Captain seen my bike neatly tucked in a hall way locker and asked me what chances G. Lemond had in the Spring Classics. He was a cyclist and allowed me to train every morning with a local cycling club located in "Landsthul".
Fast forward twenty five years and twenty five pounds. I now reside in sunny Seattle Wa. Two kids, Andre 10 and Allison 7 and a X. Usually can be found at Gary Nolds shop schooling the kids that work there about cycling in the 80's real cycling.
I have had a dozen and a half Italian road bikes, usually give them away.
Currently I have 6 customs from Roland DellaSanta...completely Campy equipped. Just sent one down too B. Baylis for repaint.
I agree with his approach to frame building, "its gotta have lugs with a curved fork". he's not into the mountain bike thing and holds true to his principles.
Can't wait until my daughter gets a little older, she's going too kill them on the Track. Geeez, I hope the X doesn't read this , she'll probably try to raise my child support payment.
Thanks again... John "I don't miss the L.A. SMOOOG" Ford
