Subject: [CR]Tires/rims for sale

In a moment of folly, I bought some items on ebay that, on reflection, I simply don't need (we've all been there, right? Right? Reassure me...;>)

Anyway, they're back up for sale.

1) Pair of very cool early 70s Schwinn Super Record 27 x 1 1/8" tires. I was going to use them as riders, but they are such artifacts that I can't do it. And I need 27" tires to use, not something to hang on a hook. These belong on some kind of restoration.

$55 shipped in the lower 48 states. Tires have a couple of single frayed threads in the sidewalls, but nothing serious. Overall still supple and strong. Good for many miles yet I think. They are very light though, and will probably wear out sooner than a more robust tire. A bit of thinned latex on the sidewalls probably wouldn't hurt, but not necessary for use. See the URL below for pictures of them:

2) Super-Champion Arc-en-ciel tubular rims. Blue-anodized. New-old-stock and absolutely perfect, far as I can tell. I was going to use them on a candy blue Colnago I have, but I find I like the look of polished aluminum rims better on the bike...so, you can have 'em for $65 shipped in the lower 48. See the URL below for pics.

E-mail me privately if you have an interest in either of these.
