How about parts that were just silly?
Anyone remember the lead filled water bottle, that "would increase your resistance" while you rode and make you fitter? Assuming that it didn't rip the bottle cage right off the bike.
Or the weights you attached to your spokes to increase your wheel weight? Hey, they increased your "momentum force!"
