The reason the Timeline stops where it does (end of Super Record) is because this was the last group that Tullio Campagnolo worked on. The 50th Anniversary group was introduced shortly before his death in February 1983, and Super Record (the last version, based on the Anniversary group) was last produced in 1987.

The C-Record (introduced in 1985, almost three years after Tullio's death) was a big change visually, because the industrial design emphasis was to make the parts look aero (best example would be the Delta center-pull brake... an interesting, but fatally flawed design). The C-Record is a much closer relative to Ergo than it ever was to Super Record, when looked upon from a styling viewpoint...

ps I'm in the process of updating the Campagnolo Timeline. If anyone has any corrections or additions, now would be the time to submit them! You can see the latest version at http://www.velo-retro.com
