Yes, the all alloy shifters were better than the Nuovo Record, and the Stronglight Super LJ derailleurs were better than the Nuovo Record, too. The Stronglight 93 was pretty much the equal of the NR and the Stronglight Competition headset seemed to be more rugged. The Campy brakes were nicer, though.
