I think the tires are 28 x 1 1/2 and I believe that Harris Cyclery (Sheldon Brown sells them). Also, any 700 x 38 or larger tires will fit these rims fine. Continental makes a Top Touring tire in the 700 x 45 that's really nice albeit expensive.

Dear Group,
I have a 1920's or 30's Hercules Rod-brake Roadster in need of tires I have not seen before. An acquaintance in England tells me that the bike needs "beaded edge" tires, 28.5 inch, and that they are available in Holland.
Is anyone on our list familiar with these tires, and is there a source for them in this country?
      Thanks in advance.
Warmly, Daniel "I hear they're the devil to get on the rim" Dahlquist
