Just a second thought on threaded/threadless---I just sent a bike home with its human the other night after replacing a stem and fork, quill stem installed five years ago into an expensive carbon fork with no grease or anti-sieze----three weeks and $200 after leaving it in my shop to catch up with a couple of years' worth of deferred maintainance. In this case it would go "no quill, no problem." David Feldman
