I'm not certain what people here consider to be young but there are young people out there who still like more classic style equipment on modern bikes. I'm 24 and all my road bikes are lugged steel, I've ridden ti and just find steel to be nicer, prefer nice paint jobs and find lugs to be a work of art if properly done. Quill stems are nicer than threadless and you can go light enough with quill to make it less than an 8 onunce difference. My current modern bike project is coming in at just under 17 lbs, comparible to most high end carbon and ti bikes. I ride with others who are younger and still like the same style bikes, so there are plenty of young people who like the classic style. -Russell Roth
