The Schwinn documentation that I've had access to shows chrome only being offered in '71 and '72 (and no P-10 until 1973, but that's beside the point). I ran across a '65 (Y46 serial #) chrome Paramount on the Schwinn forum the other day as well.
Did Schwinn do this finish on occasion or are all the chrome lugged/tipped bikes fully chromed under the paint? 1966 is the first year that chrome lugs were offered (that I know of).
