Surprised nobody's mentioned this, but there is a chaser available for every thread on a bike, including that one. I believe it is made by Bicycle Research, it has a pilot which threads into (or onto, for cheap bikes) the BB, and the rest is easy. Your LBS should either have one or be anxious to buy one. It's cheap, $10-15 or so.

Now, if you've got some old Stronglights or something, you might be stuck with using an automotive puller, because I'm pretty sure the BR chaser is only for modern threads.
