I'm not very up on my C-Record and later Campy, but I agree that the brakes and also pedals look like Victory or Triomphe. The derailleurs and cranks could be late Victory or Triomphe or maybe early Chorus or Athena. So I'm not sure this is even a complete gruppo of the same model, and even if it is, none of the parts appear to be Record. Of course he said "upper end" not "top end", but that kind of clever wording makes me suspicious.

Regards,

Jerry Moos

The cranks look to be newer (appear to be low end and have the mid-/late-'90s logo and chain pickup pins on the large chainring; the photo is none too clear) than the (Triomphe?, Victory? cheapo QR) brake calipers . Doesn't look like "upper end" or a real "groupset" to me.
