Boone was an engineer (I believe) who sold handbuilt frames for a few years. He had two models, "race" and "touring." I don't know if any of the frames were custom (i.e., customer-spec'd geometry, etc).

He was a member of several of the cycling clubs in the Contra Costa County area, and was an avid rider. I'm speaking in the past tense, as I haven't seen or heard of him in many, many years.

Diablo Cycles may have been his company name, or one of the shops he sold to (can't remember for sure). One thing that I remember is that he included actual Imron chips on his frame "brochure" (mono-spaced 8-1/2 x 11").

The frames that I remember being built/sold/bought would have all been circa 1980-84.
