I seem to remember a few weeks ago that it was mentioned (here or other list) that current Campy track hubs were based on C Record(?) which had some cracking problems. I think the difference between the duty track hubs and road hubs see is that the tracks don't have potholes and expansion joints! ( I've only broken one hub and it was on an bridge expansion joint-reused rim too so load must have been passed through to hub.)
