It is possible to make a sheet metal adapter that engages the front tang on the Huret and provides a Campagnolo type stop. These were supplied with Schwinn Sport Tourers and Superiors made in the 1970s. These had Huret dropouts and first the Campy Gran Turismo boat anchor and later a Suntour rear derailleur. I made an imitation one that worked fine. It is hard to describe the the configuration but buy some fender washers and start cutting, filing and bending tabs and you'll work it out. This is a bolt on solution that does no damage to the original configuration
