I thought I'd offer these to the list first.

The first item is a Cinelli stem with the recessed clamp bolt. I always forget the model number. Old logo. I bought it on Ebay, but the seller didn't measure it correctly and the extension is too long. 110 mm to be exact. It also appears someone attempted--with some success, alas--to jam this into a french-diameter steerer tube, and the quill is somewhat scarred up to the line you can see in the picture. Still usable in a normal stem, and, now, I suspect, in a french steerer too!

The second item is really a hoot. But, who knows, someone here might find a use for it. This also came from ebay. I thought it'd be a nice addition to my 1982 Colnago Super. It's a beautiful Campagnolo seat-post. It appears to be NOS, comes in its box, which says Super Record. It has nice narrow flutes machined in, enameled in italian national colors. The hoot part is the Colnago logo in the front-center. It appears to have been carved there by a demented drug-head with a dremel tool. The resulting mess is nicely enamelled in black.

My guess is that Colnago subbed a bunch of these out to someone, and they came back this way...sad. It could have been really nice. It occurs to me however that someone with a steadier hand on the dremel tool, with a proper pattern, could recut the logo correctly...there's probably just enough material there to do it, the original scrawl is rather small. One would just widen and reshape it slightly. I'll do it myself if I can't sell it...

$75.00 shipped and I take a small loss. The rest of the post is *perfect*...it's just that darned logo that's messed up.

E-mail me privately if you're interested.
