Subject: [CR]E-Bay response - collection of e-bay identies

Hi all-

Well, I finally gotta response from the the wizards behind the <privacy@aol.com> curtain and as Greg said, "their ONLY concern at eBay is making more money!!!"

Snipit from the response:

"we feel that the practice encourages direct contact and often leads to direct sales. Although this may not be your intention at all, we must enforce this policy equitably... Additionally, as our privacy policy states, we are very specific about the types of activities that you can engage in using contact info- rmation obtained through eBay.

This practice is simply not consistent with that."

So, I guess that ends this experiment. I had about fifty of our members handles collected - what to do with it.?.

Anyway, I guess this is another good reason to give members the shot at items first before putting them up on E-bay:) Unless it is a Confente of course! But, it comes down to what each person wants to do individually...
