I agree completely. You are totally entitled to obtain IDs from anyone who cares to voluntarily give them to you. Of course the greedy bastards on eBay discourage "diect contact" as they might lose some fees. Considering they are generally too lazy and incompetent to stop even outright fraud, it is inconceivable they could stop a totally proper and justified exchange of info outside eBay. Personally, I would never ask their opinion or tell them anything. Besides, what can they do about it? As near as I can tell, the most they ever do about anything is boot someone off eBay - then he rejoins two days later under a different email address.

Mike,

Seems to me that this contact information was not obtained through eBay, but offered voluntarily by CR members.

It's my ID, not eBay's and you can use it if I give you permission to do so.

Carry on! Ignore those eBay bastards!
