The aero seatposts are confusing. What I know for sure is, ther were three entirely different Shimano AX posts. One had a round section inside the seat tube and aero above that, and there were two entirely different posts that had an aero section for the entire length. One fit the Tange aero seatpost on the Japanese aero frame I got from Dale. The other was different dimensions - I don't know if it was for another Japanese tubeset or for the Columbus aero tubeset. I presume the Sugino seatpost is the same as one of the two Shimano full aero models. Campy evidently also made an aero post for the Columbus aero tubing.
