My first Jim Redcay was ordered from Jim when he walked into the shop where I worked with a sample in 1973. $125 dollars and ten day delivery. Some of the components I put on it: Hi-E hubs, Conti 220 gram tires (now that was a tire), Bob Reedy pedals, Zeus Freewheel, Hatta alloy headset, a prototype Nitto stem drilled up the center with aluminium bolts. Boy was I heartbroken when that was stolen.
