My circa 1977 (judging by the headbadge) still carries the classic Grand Record decal set, with the "3 Tubes Reinforce" (butted main tubes) frame decal and 531 fork decals, implying the the rear stays were something else. So in 1976, it would appear that either the brochure overstated, or the frame decals understated, the quality of the tubing.
