Subject: [CR]Brian Baylis vs Jim Cunningham

A lot of you were unaware that Brian had dropped off the list after his Mario Confente argument with Jim Cunningham. I was going to address the issue next week , but since Brian brought it up, here we go. Living here in San Diego, I have been fortunate enough to find myself surrounded by living experts like Brian Baylis, Joe Bell, Jim Cunningham, Chuck Hoffer, and the Los Angeles contingent of Chuck Schmidt , Mat Gorski and Phil Brown. All of these guys have added to my knowledge and experiences as a collector and it would be a shame to be cut off from all of their knowledge because of a disagreement of fact. This passion of our's does not have a big following and we can not exactly run down to the local library and check out a book about the life history of Mario Confente or Masi. Several members have asked Brian to comment about the Masi that I have listed on Ebay. Wouldn't be nice to know if I have my facts right? I hope that both Jim and Brian will continue to contribute to the discussion, and if there is a disagreement of fact, let's try to ferret the correct information out by bringing others into the discussion. Sincerely, Sterling
