Subject: [CR]stripped derailleur hanger

I am setting up my newly acquired early 70s Zeus frameset and come across a problem, see subject title, which I wish to get some other views on. I have come across stripped out rear derailleur hangers in the past, mostly on my older mountain bikes. In the past I have used dropout savers to repair these if They were too messed up to use a tap/die on. The frame is in excellent shape and I really would like to keep it in the same shape. Use the tap/die or go with the dropout savers? I have never had any problems with dropout savers in the past, but no doubt this will detract the value. What is the groups advice?

Dear Abby

I am a male in my 30s. I have a problem with my classic wool jerseys I wear for cycling. They rub my chest in unusual ways causing strange discomfort. What is your advice?
