The Ideale "Rebour" treatment made a BIG difference. It was about as processed a leather as you will find, just oozing the waxy treatment. The saddles broke in quickly and were so permeated they almost didn't need any future care. We used to buy a big box at a time from Peugeot (strange the PX10 had a Brooks) which I think was 50 Ideale 90s. Came in heavy plastic bag so the goop didn't get everywhere.
