Hi Duane,
Just to let you know, Durifort tubing was the first tube set made by the French company, Atelier Dela Vie (I think that's how it's spelt.) This tube set was the predecessor to all the Vitus tube sets. It was made in the beginning of the 20th century and was produced thru the 60's. It is basically a high carbon alloy steel, seamed and double butted. It was used in a lot of low-end sports racing bikes. It was considered light weight for it's time and was thought of as a decent tube set. I built some cheap bikes out of it in the 70's when I was a novice builder, and to tell you the truth, they rode pretty well. Hope this helps.
