That's my point. Buy the new stuff that most appeals to you and ride it. If you keep it nice, keep it period-correct, and retire it before it's dead, you might have a nice showpiece later. But that's just my approach. You could always ride your modern bikes to death and purchase a whole fleet of vintage bikes as collectables. But don't your bikes start to have more importance to you after you've spent many miles in the saddle?
