There just aren't that many guys out there with the money to pay big bucks for some old F-1 car from a second tier team, when collector-market cost is viewed relative to original production costs. Look at old homolagated (drivable) cars from companies with established records in competition (Ferrari, Porsche, Shelby...) and you'll see some nutty prices. >>

Actually there's a huge market for old racing cars. The vintage racing scene is arguably the healthist part of the racing scene. Lots of races, lots of fun. And a place for everything from an old Sprite to an F1 car. And as for that second tier stuff, believe it or not Arrows are some of the winningest cars in the vintage F1 races. Not to mention the Tyrell 6 wheeler which has finally come good. Remember, all those guys who admired racing cars in the 50s and 60s when they were teenagers are now able to buy those same cars. Same holds for guitars, bikes, etc. Phil Brown
