That's nothing compared to the 50K+ miles I put on a set of DuraAce 8-speed STIs on my 1992 Vitus 992. Over the winter I upgraded the 992 to DA 9-speed and moved the 8-speed stuff to an old Trek 1400, where it continues to give flawless service.
