Pinarello has sold (and continues to sell) bicycles of all sorts and description, most of the low-end stuff being contracted out but sold with Pinarello badging. However, that's generally for the Italian market only, where's there is a strong demand for bicycles other than the "enthusiast" variety. Very few of these bikes make it elsewhere, particularly the US. I have an '80s "Pinarello" BMX frame in my shed that was given to me by an Italian friend, who had brought it over from Italy for one of his sons. It's pretty low-end, even by '80s BMX standards. I only kept it because it has an Italian flag, red/white/green paint scheme and Pinarello decals. Those decals are not like any other Pinarello decals I've seen. While visiting Italy last year, I stayed with my friend and his mother, who are family friends with the Pinarello family. Every morning, Mama Zara got on her 25+ year old gas-pipe, single speed, enclosed chain Pinarello mixte with a basket on the front, and rode into town to do her shopping for the day. In the picture here:

you can see me with Giovanni Pinarello, my friend Denio, Giovanni's daughter and the Pinarello she rides to work every day. Not what you typical think of when you think Pinarello. Oh, my new "used" and signed Pinarello Prince is also in the picture (I was going to follow the "aluminum future collectable" thread with that, but I'll probably pass for now).

The point of this ramble is that what you might have, Russell, is something that's not "really" a Pinarello, at least not in the conventional sense. Possibly a low-end utility bike that was brought back from Italy. Consequently, getting the same decals may be difficult. Gita in Charlotte, NC is still a Pinarello importer, and you can probably get decals from them, but they may not be the same as what's on the frame you have.

That said, I'd still like to see some pictures of what you have, because now I'm curious too.
