While not vintage it is a classic with lugs and all and modern frames have been ok'ed for discussion. This bike was put up on a three day auction with reserve not yet met and sitting near the $2,400 mark.
Now if I had the money this is THE bike as a collectable in my book. I should be thankful it isn't my size, would have to look into a equity loan on the house.
It is no coincidence, I don't think, that this bike closes on the day Lance wins his third Tour.
