As an interesting point of reference, the number of ebay Campagnolo listings has risen dramatically in the past year. If I recall last year correctly, an average of 340 Campy listings appeared weekly. However, current weekly Campy listings appear to have almost doubled to over 600+ weekly. Why is this?

The answer seems to be that your Local Bike Shop (LBS) has discovered they can make sales through the Internet! Many of the additional listings that we see are placed by LBS or small collectors who seem to buy in quantity and split their purchases into individual sales. As a result, I do not think additional complete bikes are going on the market, just LBS spare parts that have been stored away for a long time at the LBS collecting dust. Consequently, the current flush of Campy parts listings may subside once the LBS stocks deplete.

Prehaps others could offer their opinion, but it seems that prices for Campy equipment has risen from last year, prehaps in the 15% range of increase.
