The San Francisco Grand Prix of Cycling, Sunday, September 9th, 2001 http://www.bmc.com/cycling/facts_sanfrancisco.html ~~~~~~~~ Hi Chuck, I checked into the 'fun' ride and it is a bit of a letdown. It costs $20.00 to register for it, and for that you get to ride precisely 5 miles of the race course, and you get a canvas musette bag with a Power Bar in it. Hot damn! Besides...it starts at O'dark thirty, errr...I mean 07:00AM. I say we set up a vintage ride across the Golden Gate Bridge instead, for coffee and muffins in Mill Valley, then zip back to the Embarcadero in SF to watch the race.

The classic bikes and jerseys need to be out in force for this race. Anyone else planning on attending the big race in SF on the 9th?
