Working in a Schwinn shop as a teen through my early 20s, I lusted after a full Campy, all chrome plated Paramount P-13... though gloss black with the chrome head lugs would have been just dandy. Of course, at the wages I was making ($1.35 per hour) all I could afford was a fully chromed Super LeTour 12.2 which I modified over time by exchanging the Shimano 600 derailleurs and shifters for Dura-Ace, stock wheels for a Paramount P-13 tubular wheelset (as close as I ever came to owning a P-13), deep sixed the saddle and seatpost for an SR LaPrade with a swallow-cut Wright leather saddle, and the SR cranks for Sugino Super Mighty Comps. I actually raced it my first year as a USCF Junior. It was a fine bike, but still not a Paramount.

I still want a P-13 someday...
