Subject: [CR]FS: Charles Roberts and some other stuff

I have a Charles Roberts frame and fork, Reynolds 531, 23 inch ct 22.5 cc on the toptube, that I would like to sell. This is a touring or audax frame, cantilever bosses and mounting for rack on the seatstays. The paint on the frame is in okay condition; some would say it needs repaint and redecaling and others would say not. I rode it in its present condition for the summer. I would keep it, especially in preparation of Cirque IV, but I just picked up a Mondia tricked out in a similar fashion. Underneath the bottom bracket, it appears as if it was not properly treated before painting; there's some rust, and the paint has bubbled. There's also a scrape underneath the toptube, and there's some scraping on the downtube. (These are not scrapes from paint detoriation but from my carelessness.) No dents, dings. Evergreen or British racing green, with goldish detailing, including "R" stamped into the seatstay caps and fork crown. It has the following braze-ons: downtube shifters, one water bottle, brake bridge, brake guides underneath the toptube, and cantilever bosses.

I will sell it with the following possibilties:

Frame, fork, headset, phil wood triple bottom bracket, headset (I don't know what kind) TA Cycltourist 170/52/44/32 crankset with Lyotard pedals and Charles Roberts straps, Mafac cantilever brakes with appropriate Mafac levers and hoods (hoods a little dry), Huret Duopar (I think) front derailleur, huret downtube derailleur guides, and huret braze-on levers, $525.

27.0 NR seatpost (fits the Charles Roberts): $30.00

Wheelset: Pelissier hubs on 36 hole Super Champion Competition rims, Record du Monde with Super Condor tubular tires that hold air. Spacing is 126 and accepts a freewheel. These originally came on the Roberts: $110.00 if a person wanted them and the seatpost with the Roberts, I'd work another deal on the price of the seatpost and the hubs, if saying such doesn't violate Dale's rules.

Shipping would be up to about fifty dollars to the fartherest point from Ohio in UPS's division of the country: Washington state ?

I will have jpegs sometime tomorrow. Let me know if you are interested and I will send them to you sometime tomorrow.

Thank you.

Cheers.
