Dear Classic Rendezvousers: I know Nels Cone lurks here and I have no other way of contacting him, so please delete this post if it doesn't concern you. I'm very sorry for causing any inconvenience or distress.

To NELS CONE (BIOREM)

I was hoping that I would not have to write this post, but since you have continued your war of lies and innuendo on my business, Velo-Retro, and now on my upcoming event, Velo Rendezvous, I guess it is time to respond.

In the past you waged a similar war of lies on this newsgroup to ruin my business beginning in June '99 and continuing through March '00. Finally you made a promise to the newsgroup to stop, but then broke your promise and continued on. My file contains over 100 flame emails from you that I never responded to because I felt by responding it would just continue the madness. Incredibly your unrelenting posting and email attacks on me and my business continue unabated to this day!

You even notified my server that my website, Velo-Retro, was a porn site and that they should shut me down. My website has had over 47,000 hits and I have continued to sell my reprinted catalogs for the past five years without any legal problems, and number Campagnolo and Mavic among others as customers of my reprinted information.

I have had two business dealings with you. I sold you a 1981 Campagnolo poster on rec.bicycles.marketplace in November '98 for $5 (I sold over 200 of them on the newsgroup). When you received it you posted to the newsgroup that you loved it and recommended they all buy one. Later on you lied and told the group that you never received it, and that I was a dishonest person.

The second business dealing I had with you involved your offering to sell me some vintage hubs under an assumed identity, Bikedoofus, to perpetrate a fraud. At the same time you used another assumed identity, Biker Dave M., to slander me on the Classic Rendezvous forum. You were booted off that list as Nels Cone and later again as Dave M.

You refer to my "scams" on eBay. My eBay feedback record is 1,958 positives and O negatives. 100% positive feedback!

Your feedback record on eBay (BIOREM), on the other hand, is 3 positives and 2 negatives; FORTY PERCENT NEGATIVE! You are no longer a registered-user; apparently you have been suspended. And re-registered under another ID.

I know from others who have written me from Seattle where you live, and who know you personally, that you have actually been barred from several bike shops in the Seattle area for your disruptive behavior.

I'm not the only one who you have discredited, cheated, libeled and slandered. I know of others who have similar stories that are well documented.

Now you have taken it upon yourself to attack and sabotage my Velo Rendezvous vintage bike event coming up next month in Pasadena, California. Maybe it is finally time for a lawsuit for slander and libel? Lawyers on the newsgroup have emailed that I have solid grounds to do so.

Stop your campaign of hate, lies and innuendo at this time or I will be forced to take legal action.
