Am I alone in thinking that the needs of 99% of all folks who buy 21 or 24 gear "comfort" bikes would be better served by a 3 to 7 gear epicyclic hub,maybe even with a coaster brake? Guess this is just too hard to sell to people; more gears has to be better,huh? I'm building my wife a town style bike, Cromor tubing, 70's roadrace geometry with a S-A FW, alloy 700c's, T.A. single ring crank, Honjo fenders, B-72 Brooks etc. I'll bet she'll ride it more than a derailleur equipped bike.
