Having dug out another piece of fascinating history related to Flying Scot's
(what else) I came across a UK patent from 1954. ( see
http://freespace.virgin.net/bob.reid1/page33.htm ) Not being to sure of the
success or otherwise of this improvement I searched around the current
headset manufacturers for a similar design. About the closest to it comes
the Chris King "Gripnut" - Does anyone know / remember the history or
development behind this headset ?
