Hey, Y'all:

I'm casting my vote with Pennsylvania Pete on this one. The only bike(s) I've owned where it seemed t make sense to clamp to the seatpost are/were Moultons (Alex, not Dave). Otherwise, I've been successful in clamping to the seattube, high up, just below the seatlug. I've yet to crush, crumple, or crinkle one, including a 531SL-tubed H.R. Morris and the legendary, irreplaceable Meral.

Hope to see lots of you Saturday at Trexlertown. As of today, forecast is low-70s and partly cloudy. If that holds true, you'll find me behind my table in a dark blue AM t-shirt (thanks, Gilbert!).
