Crap, now I'm goint to have to look a old bikes and decals. I never noticed there was a difference (are you sure you don't have too much time on your hands?) but I would be interested in the answer. I'm sure Jim Allen knows the story, since I think he is the prime source for modern versions of Masi decals. Jim? Haven't heard from you lately; would like to hear what you know on this subject.

Personally, I would be surprised if it had anything to do with copyrights, but stranger things have happened.
