Subject: [CR]New Bike/New Snow :-(

Well the Tommasini I bought on ebay arrived on Monday. After spending many hours to assemble the bike, mainly because of a stuck stem which had to be cut and the fork removed to heat the steer tube and then cool the part of the stem left in the steer tube for removal the bike was ready to ride. The only problem was the weather on Tuesday. It started raining on Monday night and carried into Tuesday with the high only reaching into the low 40's in the valley. Snow had capped the mountain and road down to 4,000 ft. elevation and light snow covered the ground down to 3,600 feet. It is a terrible feeling not to be able to take a new bike out for a spin after building up. Wednesday wasn't much better although it wasn't raining the roads weren't conducive to taking a nice bike out on. Today is sunny and bright with highs, at some point, to climb into the lower 50's. A short ride at lower elevations will be in order as cinders and chips are on the road higher up.

PLEASE don't tell me how nice the weather is in southern California or Florida and make the pain and climate that much harder to bare.
