Subject: [CR]Campagnolo-equipped Harry Quinn for sale

An elderly ex-club cyclist I know who is now in his 70s is selling his mid-1970s Harry Quinn road bike.

The old lad, who has been forced off his bike through increasingly heavier traffic volumes, offered this machine to me but it's too "modern" for my taste. I thought I would offer it to the list to see if there's any interest.

I freely admit to knowing next to nothing about this marque but I do know it's highly thought of and this particular example looks a cracker.

The 22-inch frame, with its original silver finish, has 74' 73' angles. The frame is in very nice condition with just one or two small scratches apparent.

The fork crown has "Harry Quinn" engraved on either side.

The bike comes with Campag Record/Super Record components throughout-about which I know as much as I do about Harry Quinn frames. The equipment is in lovely condition as well with little in the way of wear apparent. The saddle, if I remember right, is a black Brooks Pro.

The old lad is asking for £500 (roughly $750) for the bike. Shipping to the states would probably add about £75 ($115) to that but that's just a guestimate. I haven't a clue if this is cheap, about right or expensive so please don't shoot the messenger!

If anyone is interested, please email me off-list

Thanks, Bruce
