: [CR]Cinelli dating + bike spec data log

A couple of items have crossed my mind while whittling away a rainy Sunday morning in the workshop.

First, after seeing so much interaction regarding Masi and Peugeot PX-10 dating via our list and the excellent PX-10 website, does anyone know how to date Cinellis?

I have a Super Corsa that was sold to me as being from 1970, and the serial number on the BB states 2195. There is the makings of another number, perpendicular to the one noted above, the starts with a 5. I am presuming that the second digit, obscured by paint, would be a 9 and be referring to the frame size.

This is a subject that has interested me for a while also. I have a 1963 Cinelli SC, # 8887, purchased from a listmember. I contacted Cupertino Bike Shop for info and got the original owner ans sale date. Serial numbers, however, haven't been decoded yet. I would be interested in contributing to a Cinelli datebase. Russ Fitzgerald and myself started a PX 10 database hoping to find a common thread regarding serial numbers, but it hasn't been found yet. The database has sort of morphed into the web site.
