Subject: [CR]Raleigh Competition

Just picked up a Raleigh Competition and am trying to get a fix on when it was made. Here's what I know: The frame is black with chrome fork tips, Campy dropouts and two neat eyelets along the top tube for the brake cable. it has a brazed on water bottle boss and cut-out lugs like the ones I had on my 1980 Comp G.S. The decals are a 'Raleigh' in delicate script on the downtube and on the seat tube the decal reads in script, 'Carlton Cycles made in England'. The top tube decal is 'Competition' The frame id Reynolds 531. Would this be a late '60's frame? Hilary? Anyone?
