My thought has always been anyone with a credit card can have something expensive and trendy, but finding something old and cool takes a little more work and research.

Can't wait to try my brand new to me 30's German folding camera from ebay today!

Older things make you engage with them more, they're not automated and idiot proof. You have to understand the basics of how they work, turn the dials, think a little, extrapolate.

Nothing is more basic than photography with an old camera. Exposure, subject and framing, that's all there is.

It's a ritual kickstarting an old Harley.

When I rode my NR a lot, I could tell just by the sound if I needed to trim the shiftlever up a little or down. (classic bike content)

And if you want something old and cool and rare you have to pay the price or find another one.

Ted, too much old stuff cluttering my life right now, but I love em.
