The only shifter that I've seen that fits that boss is a Suntour. It uses a single screw mount. The one I have adjusts the front derailleur when the rear derailleur is shifted (to stop chain rub?). The frames, I've seen this on, are 1984's plus or minus a year. I never thought of it as aero it's big and the cables always rub the frame.

Is this perhaps later 80's, after we stopped getting the real thing in this country? The pictures are crummy but it looks more like my Bianchi SLX than my Raleighs. Is this meant for top of downtube aero shifters?
