Subject: [CR]54.5cm bianchi for sale

A week or so ago I mentioned in the base of an email a Bianchi I was trying to sell at T-town swap. Here's the details. I had a couple interested parties but they have passed on this bicycle. So I am posting all the details with an asking price. if there are no takers. I will send her off to ebay. I figured I would post to the list first.

Frameset: late 50s Bianchi with stamped dropouts. Chrome crown fork. Funky Bianchi type headset. This is not the chrome lugged model. Utilizes top tube cable clips to brake line.

componentry upgraded in the early 60s (this info is what I was told by the original owner's son.)

Campagnolo Valentino extra front and rear derailleurs.

Regina Corse 5 speed freewheel. 14-26 (I think)

ttt stem, no name on aluminum bar (believed to be the same as stem possibly)

Universal Extra brakeset and levers. (these were original with the frameset)

The crankset is late late 60s. Ofmega "Bianchi" crankset with a 52/42. Looks similar to the Campy cranksets (basically a knock-off).

M.D. Record brass rivet leather saddle.

NEW modern seatpost. 26.4

NEW modern chain also.

Bottom bracket is a Campagnolo Mountain bike cups with a campy spindle. I found the Ofmega Bianchi etched crankset and had to have it to put on this bicycle. Therefore, in order to get the crankset to work on the older model bicycle, I had to use the bigger Mountain cup BB. I believe the Maxy BB also work.

Old Sheffield pedals, spin really freely.

The wheelset was added later because I got it without any wheels. they are Rigida rim with high flange hubs, Super Champion gentleman rim with same high flange hubs and Gnutti skewers which came on the wheelset. The hubs are high flange and do not have any markings on them but like I said, they do have the gnutti skewers. Straight handled skewers.

Celeste in color of course. I have a couple pics for any interested parties.

I was asking $200 which included shipping but I am willing to work with someone. I ride a 59cm and this won't work for me so hopefully someone on the list has an interest.

If you have any further questions, let me know. Thanks! ------------------------------------------
