I was comparing the flags used on the down tube decal on my GC and noticed a strange discrepency. It seems that on all of the older US Masis, the flags used are: Belgium (Black-Red-Yellow vertical bands), Italian, Swiss, French and United States. On the Masi I have (which is a repaint with decals furnished by Masi USA) the flags used are: German (Black-Red-Yellow horizontal bands), Luxembourg or Netherlands (Red-White-Blue horizontal bands), Spain(?) (Red-Yellow-Red hiorizontal bands), Finland (Blue Cross on White field), Austria(?) (Red-White-Red horizontal bands), Sweden (Yellow cross on Blue field). My question is, why are the flags used so different from the early Masi decals? Is there some copyright problem that keeps the currently available decals from using the original flag lineup?
